What time is breakfast? ('Mihin aikaan' literally 'to which time'. 'Aamu' (morning) + '-ainen' = breakfast.)

Are you open? ('Oletteko' = plural/formal 'are you' — used for businesses.)

Is it cheap or expensive? ('Vai' = 'or' in questions offering choice (not 'tai').)

Where can I find a supermarket? ('Ruokakauppa' literally 'food-shop' — ruoka (food) + kauppa (shop).)

How many do you want? ('Monta' = many (countable). With uncountable, use 'paljon'.)

Can I drink the tap water? ('Hana' (tap) + 'vesi' (water). 'Voiko' impersonal 'can one?')

One, two, three, four, five. (Memorize as a chunk — endings (yhden, kahden…) change in cases.)

The bill, please! ('Lasku' also means 'descent' or 'calculation'.)
