Practical phrases for travel — ordering, paying, and getting around.

朝ごはんは何時ですか
 
What time is breakfast? (朝ごはん = 朝 (morning) + ごはん (meal/rice). 何時 = what time.)
営業していますか
 
Are you open? (営業 (eigyou) = business operations.)
トイレはどこですか
 
Where is the bathroom?
トイレットペーパーはまだありますか
 
Is there more toilet paper? (まだ = more/still.)
美味しいレストランはどこですか
 
Where's a good restaurant? (Japanese says 'tasty' (美味しい) where English might say 'good' for food places.)
安いですか、高いですか
 
Is it cheap or expensive? (安い = cheap. 高い = expensive (also 'tall/high').)
スーパーはどこにありますか
 
Where can I find a supermarket? (スーパー = shortened from スーパーマーケット.)
いくつ欲しいですか
 
How many do you want? (いくつ = how many. 欲しい (hoshii) = want (for things).)
水道水は飲めますか
 
Can I drink the tap water? (水道 = 水 (water) + 道 (way/route) — 'water-way' = plumbing. 飲める = potential of 飲む.)
一、二、三、四、五
 
One, two, three, four, five (ichi, ni, san, shi/yon, go.)
六、七、八、九、十
 
Six, seven, eight, nine, ten (roku, shichi/nana, hachi, kyuu/ku, juu.)
いくらですか
 
How much does it cost? (いくら = how much (price). Different from いくつ (how many).)
カードで払えますか
 
Can I pay by card? (で = by means of. 払える = potential of 払う (to pay).)
お会計お願いします
 
Check, please! (会計 = 会 (meeting) + 計 (calculate) — 'meeting calculation' = bill.)
割り勘にしましょう
 
Let's split it (割り勘 = 割る (divide) + 勘定 (bill) — 'divided bill'.)
お水はありますか
 
Do you have water?
友達の分も払います
 
I'll pay for my friend (分 (bun) = portion/share. 'My friend's portion too I will pay'.)
私の分は友達が払います
 
My friend will pay for me
他に何かお手伝いできますか
 
Can I help you with anything else? (他に = besides. お手伝い = humble 'help'.)

This is delicious (美味しい = 美 (beautiful) + 味 (taste) — 'beautiful taste'.)
